Peavey Messenger PROSUB sub bass speakers are suitable for 2 way PA speaker systems. The 15" sub bass woofer speaker delivers deep powerful bass response
4 ohms speaker impedance draws the maximum power from most PA power amplifiers which deliver their max output into 4 ohms
Bass subs or bass bins are used in conjunction with smaller speakers often called satellite speakers. The sub bass bins handle all of the lower frequencies and the Peavey PROSUB built in x-over routes the mids and tops frequencies to smaller satellite speakers . This is a 2-way or two way passive cross over PA system. A 2 way PA speaker system is extremely efficient. The low frequency bass sounds use power and need a larger speaker to reproduce the sound. Using a sub bass bin speaker cabinet means that the larger slower moving speaker in the sub bass bin is optimised for bass frequencies. The smaller and lighter satellite speakers can then handle the mid range and tops frequencies more efficiently because they are much smaller.

I am a mobile DJ and I have a pair of these and a pair of the pro 15 tops and to be honest i couldn't ask for a louder clearer set of speakers for this price. the bass is deep and will easily fill a venue of around 300 people if you use the right amp. value for money ***** build quality**** clarity***** loudness**** overal 4.5* from me
