The gemini GVX12P is an active pa speaker which is affordable, yet with high quality sound ideal for mobile dj set ups, bands, clubs and bars. The 12" woofer and the 1.35" high output titanium tweeter reproduce low sub basses, punchy mids and crisp highs with a frequency response of 60 Hz to 20,000 Hz. The speaker has a built-in low cut filter ideal for use with subwoofers and larger club install systems and at this affordable price, the Gemini GVX12P bridges the gap between entry level and professional sound systems.

This is an excellent hbooadnk and Alexander's advice above is right on. I would humbly like to add two points that also may be helpful. Be careful with January and February speaking dates. Sudden storms can prevent your speaker from travelling. Save your local speakers for these months if you want to have an event. Second, academic conferences are very often scheduled for April. If you want an April date for someone who is an academic, you should be talking to your speaker at least 6 months in advance. On the other hand, September and October are rather light on academic conferences and speakers are generally more available for these times.
