One of the best products Behringer has designed. Build quality is 100x better than the DJX series, for the price this unit is un-beatable.
Dont let anybody fool you into thinking that this is a poorly made piece of Behringer copycat electronics. Yes it does have a passing resemblance to the Pioneer DJM series but then so do half a dozen other 4 channel mixers. First up Build Quality:- Astounding! I DJ week in, week out in pubs and clubs. A lot of venues insist on you using their equipment. AND I can tell you that the pioneers build quality is nowhere near as good! In over 200 gigs since 08, the DDM has never lost a pot, or a fader (which seem to me to be of better quality on mine). No crackles, no paint wearing off, no headphone socket come loose... All probs I've seen on various DJMs!!!! Its got a sampler, best effects I've heard on a mixer. More Ins and outs than most 4ch mixers.Lots of programmable functions. EG In one venue I play at, I send OUT1 (XLR) to my PA. Out 2 (phono) goes to the house PA. That has been set up as stereo, meaning that vocals live at one end and drums at the other... Using the DDMs programmable panel I set Out2 to mono. Theres also Sub out on single XLR and a 2nd Out1 on Phono, Handy for monitors. Lastly its a comprehensive Midi Controller, although proper midi not USB midi! Any of the 4 channels + the samples channel and 1 of the mic ch's can be set to control Traktor,Deckadance or VDJ. Theres even a DDM4000 skin for Virtual DJ. In 08 this mixer was unique in its features, now in 2011 Pioneer, Denon, Allen & Heath etc have caught up.... you could say copied. Hehehe Anyway regardless of any brand snobbery you will not get more or better for less than 300 quid even 2nd hand. Best DJ mixer I've ever used. Now if someone told me in summer 08 that I would be saying that about a Behringer I'd have laughed out loud..
